WEEKE CNC MACHINING CENTERS
On the 1st of October 1945 Gustav WEEKE & Son founded a locksmith´s company in Herzebrock in Westfalia which, even back then had the goal of helping to solve the requests of the woodworking companies in the area.
The Weeke family developed their own products e.g. to press case goods or to invent a strip-stacking machine. Following that they invented the first lock insertion machine model SEM-I, which carried out all working processes in only 5 seconds . This "revolutionary invention" was followed by a machine which allowed multi-spindle drilling into work panels hereby dispensing with the costly and difficult groove-and spring connecting method which was used up to that date. From those early days which began with very simple invention of the throughfeed-drilling machine, as it was later called, the company has developed a High-Tech-Philosophy up to this very day.
In May 1986 the company which had been a family owned company, was integrated into the Homag Group. WEEKE took over the important task of designing and manufacturing drilling, routing and assembly machinery. This important step made it possible for WEEKE to expand. In the past 3 years they doubled their sales. Via the Worldwide Sales System in the Homag Group - WEEKE customers in more than 30 countries - spread over 5 continents - now profit from the service provided by WEEKE and their sales partners. Their export rate has risen to 75 % of production.

The BHX machine is designed for routing, grooving, and boring of flat panel components. The BHX concept addresses the just-in-time manufacturing concept. A smooth air cushion feeding system enables fast positioning of the workpiece. The high speed vertical boring spindles with a patented clamping system, provide for exact depth holes on two (2) panels simultaneously, esentially doubling production capabilities. Capable of producing a variety of different components in batch size of one (1) without loss of set-up time. The BHX has small space requirements.
