Single end shape & sand
The model 319SS is designed to safely shape and sand wood or plastic components. The machine has 5-1/2" of available stacking height on the shaping spindle, 5" capacity on sanding spindle, and an adjustable fence, all three use a mechanical digital readouts for easy and accurate positioning. A variable speed conveyor (0-35 FPM) with two rows of hold down rollers and interlocking cutter guarding isolate the operator from the cutterhead and sanding head for a safe work environment. 8" maximum material width; 2" maximum material thickness. 6" diameter tooling required.

Production Shape & Sand machine
The 4500 series machines can be configured as Manual or CNC controlled single side shape and sand machines. They are extremely versatile and may be used as dedicated machines for simple jobs like drawer fronts or be used in a variety of jobs such as passage door parts, cabinet door parts and material such as "Corian" or phenolic. The machines can be configured with 3, 4, 5, or 6 spindles in different combinations of shapers and sanders, utilizing jump copes to eliminate tear out when machining end grain. The machines feature a heavy one piece weldment frame that is precision machined in one set up for accuracy. All spindles axes ride on multi-profile guideways and linear bearings. Manual machines feature Unique's "TrueSet" "Windows XP based computer touch screen and custom software. The software stores feed rates, positions, cutter rotation, profile pictures and spedd settings. Operator is required to verify that all spindles have been manually positioned to the correct location before the machine will start. The CNC versions use precision ball screws with "zero backlash" to position spindles and to maintain tolerance for precise set up year after year. Single grease fittings lubricates each shper and sander station centrally. The single grease fitting distributes grease through a manifold to all lubrication points on that station.

Details: CNC CONTROL CNC controlled machines are controlled by an Industrial PC (IPC) with touch screen operator interface. The imbedded operating system reads a solid state disc as opposed to the traditional hard disc drive. This provides stability, vibration resistance and greatly improved PC reliability. The control uses Unique' s custom, proprietary software that allows end user programming with an intuitive "Windows" based, touch screen driven operator interface.
