Automatic infeed for short stock
The "Opti-Feed 3000" is an automatic infeed system designed so that the infeed speed of the workpiece is automatically adjusted to the speed of the machine, thus improving productivity by matching the higher machine speed. It is designed to handle short stock from 380mm to 2500mm (15" to 98") at a standard capacity of 50 workpieces or 5 layers per minute by uniform lengths. It is designed to infeed machines such as moulders, double end tenoners, resaws, and sanders. Changes in material length are easily made at the operator panel in seconds.

The "Opti-Feed 6000" is an automatic infeed system designed so that the infeed speed of the workpiece is automatically adjusted to the speed of the machine, thus improving productivity by matching the higher machine speed. It is designed to handle stock from 1200mm to 6100mm (4 ft to 20 ft) at a standard capacity of 40 workpieces per minute . It is designed to infeed machines such as moulders, double end tenoners, resaws, and sanders. Packs can easily and automatically be replaced during the production cycle without stopping the line.

Gang Ripsaw Infeed
The RF-16 is designed to go in front of gang rip saws with the intention of creating a more accurate, more efficient and safer workspace. The heart of the RF-16 is its 17' long, joystick-controlled infeed fence which is used to align boards in a perfectly straight line with the laser lights of the saw. The fence itself is built of heavy walled steel tubing and is mounted on a highly accurate motor driven linear motion system. The roller deck of the RF-16 is built of precision welded steel parts and employs heavy walled steel idler rollers with precision roller bearings to provide quiet, easy rolling. A robust steel frame provides the foundation for all these elements.
** System Operations **
The infinitely variable fence of the RF-16 has two speed, dual mode operation with joystick control.
** Two Speed Operation **
When a board has been placed on the roller deck, the operator pushes it against the fence and then positions the fence to the desired relationship with the laser lights of the saw. To do this he only has to push or pull the joystick in the appropriate direction--forward or backward. Moving the joystick to the first position in either direction causes the fence to move very slowly for highly accurate positioning. If a large distance needs to be covered in order to skip a saw pocket or two, the joystick is pulled a bit further and the fence moves at 6+" per second. Maximum travel of the fence from the default fence position is +8"/-1.5". **
The stopping/starting response of the fence through the joystick is instantaneous offering your operator an almost unobstructed approach to proper optimizing of the board at hand.
** Dual Mode Operation **
Adjacent to the joystick on the operator’s control panel is a two position selector switch offering either automatic or manual fence operation.
In the automatic mode, the fence will always return to the home/fence line position after each board is fed into the saw. The operator simply places the board on the roller deck, positions the fence for the desired cut and pushes the board into the saw. When the board has entered the saw, the fence will automatically return to the default fence line position (at 6+" per second) while the operator is securing the next board to be cut. Valuable downtime between ripping is saved by not having to reposition the fence out of the way.
With the switch in the manual position, the fence stays where the operator last positioned it. This function is particularly handy when the operator wants to work with one specific arbor pocket such as in the case of re-ripping off fall or when working with nominally sized lumber. In the manual mode, the fence is still fully adjustable for variations in each board, but the time it would take to move the fence from the default fence line position used in the automatic mode has been eliminated.
The operation of the selector switch is instantaneous and allows rapid switching between modes.
** System Details **
The fence of the RF-16 is built to be enduringly accurate. The fence tube itself is selected for straightness and then attached to a rack-and-pinion torsion bar to assure that the fence tracks in parallelism without deflection or vibration. This industrial strength linear motion assembly is then connected to a brake-gear motor which is controlled by an AC inverter drive.
A custom programmed PLC controls all operations adding to the precision and ease of operation of the RF-16.
The RF-16 is factory tested and is shipped completely assembled and ready for immediate installation and use.
