"Unipoint" Heavy Duty Radial Arm Saw
The Northfield Unipoint radial arm saw provides an amazingly fast wood cutting principle - "Unipoint" (one point) cutting. This means the saw blade always enters the material at the same point regardless of how it is set for a vertical, horizontal, or compound miter cut. "Unipoint" cutting not only reduces angular cross cutting operations to an unusual degree of simplicity, but it eliminates some adjustments entirely. It is more adaptable to short-cut production methods. Because the saw blade enters the material at the same point, it is never necessary to rearrange the material or change the stops or gauges when changing cross-cut angles. "Unipoint" cutting eliminates the necessity of adjusting the work or gages as is uaually required when saw blade cuts at different points according to degree of angle.
