137 MM DIAMETER Hydro Locking head - NO GREASE GUN REQUIRED
This is a unique type of hydro lock moulder head that DOES NOT REQUIRE A HIGH PRESSURE GREASE GUN. The sealed system is pressurized by turning an Allen bolt which pressurises the head and locks the head to the spindle. Each head also comes with grease zerk fittings to allow pressurization with a high pressure grease gun. Heads are pre-calibrated for use in temperatures between 35 Deg. F and 110 Deg. F.
The MH137HLE heads are designed for most jointed production moulders. This size of head is the most common choice for millwork producers. 4-knife heads run from 70 to 200 ft/min., 6-knife run from 80 to 300 ft/min. [ based on 6,000 rpm ].
We offer hydro-loc HLE moulder heads with corrugated pockets for high production moulders. The product group shown below are for use on European and Domestic made machines that run at feed rates up to 300 feet per min. All heads include all the standard features and are quality built to withstand years of continous use on high speed moulders. All heads feature special designed hydro-sleeves that will operate on keyed spindles without bore deformation. Heads are offered in a variety of sizes to fit your machine, note the body diameters and bore sizes listed. Choice of cutting angle; 12 degrees for hardwoods, 20 degrees for softwood. Max. 8,000 RPM
