The 166-CD jointer was built according to machine tool standards characteristic of all Oliver precision tools. The heavy bridge design, cast iron bed is strongly ribbed to eliminate all vibration. The heavily ribbed tables are machined and ground. Each table is fitted with a steel lip next to the cutting cylinder, which can be removed and replaced at any time. This important feature prevents nicking the table edge. Each table can be drawn 18" away from the cutting cylinder. vertical adjustment of tables is 3/4". The 3 knife cutting cylinder is powered by a 5 HP, 3600 RPM, TEFC direct drive motor. Standard equipment includes motor; magnetic starter; front and rear knife guards; rabbeting attachment and knife cylinder holding pin.
